Stock Market Crash Of 1929

Stock Market Crash Of 1929

An event in the fall of 1929 when the stock prices on the New York Stock Exchange rapidly fell over a short time – losing nearly 25% of its value in just 2 days. There were many causes of the initial panic, but as prices started to fall it caused a general fear, and more investors trying to sell, driving prices even farther down. This is considered the starting point of the Great Depression.
