Solvency

Solvency

Solvency is the ability of a business or government to meet its debts, including debts that come due over many years. A solvent organization can cover what it owes. An insolvent one cannot, and may be pushed into bankruptcy. A business can hold cash this month and still be insolvent if its debts are larger than what it owns.
