Phishing

Phishing

Phishing is a scam where a fake message pretends to be a bank, a delivery company, or a government agency so you will hand over a password, a card number, or an ID number. Email is the usual version. The same scam by text is called smishing. A real bank will not ask you to confirm your password by email or text. Do not tap the link in an unexpected “your account” message.
