Market Share
Market share is the portion of total sales a company holds in a defined market, usually shown as a percentage. You get it by dividing the company’s sales by all sales in that market. For example, if phone sellers in a country together took in $10 million and one brand sold $2 million of that, its market share is 20%. Businesses track this to see how they stand against competitors in the same space.
