Customer Profiles

Customer Profiles

A customer profile is a fictional sample buyer used to represent one person inside a market segment. A segment profile describes the whole group; a customer profile makes one typical buyer concrete for marketing decisions. Teams use it to test messages and features. It is a planning tool, not a real customer’s private file.

The customer profile is a description of a set of customers that includes T variables such as buying patterns, brand loyalty, credit worthiness and purchase history.
