Alternative Financial Services

Alternative financial services

Alternative financial services are high-cost, non-bank products people use when they need cash quickly, including payday loans, instalment loans, pawn loans, title loans, and rent-to-own contracts. They can look convenient, but fees and interest are usually much higher than at a bank or credit union. They are not a substitute for a regular chequing or savings account.
