Gig Economy
Gig work is a series of short jobs, such as driving, delivery, or freelance projects, rather than a lasting full-time or part-time job with one employer. The hours can fit around school, but the pay moves with the amount of work, so a busy week can pay well and a slow week pays less. Gig workers are generally self-employed. They usually receive no sick pay or employer health plan, and no one withholds their taxes.
