Supply Chain

A supply chain is the path a product takes from raw materials to the customer: sourcing, making, storing, shipping, and delivery. It can be local or stretch across countries. If one step is late, every step after it waits. A phone that cannot get a chip from one factory can sit unfinished even when the rest of the work is ready.
