Money Scripts
Money scripts are unspoken beliefs about money, usually picked up in childhood by watching how adults handled it. They run in the background and steer spending and saving as if they were rules. A script that once helped—such as extreme frugality during a hard period—can later cause anxiety when you can actually afford what you need. The old belief keeps operating even after your situation has changed.
