Canada Student Grants and Canada Student Loans are federal student aid. You apply through your province or territory of residence, not a separate federal form. Quebec, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut use their own systems instead. Grants do not have to be repaid. Loans do, but since 2023 Canada Student Loans charge no interest in school or after; you repay only what you borrowed. Federal and provincial aid are often packaged in one application.
