The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is the federal tax agency. You file your federal return with the CRA and use its online account for refunds and benefits. Quebec residents still file federally with the CRA, plus a provincial return with Revenu Québec. The CRA will not demand gift cards, crypto, or your password by phone, text, or email. Open canada.ca or your CRA account yourself; scammers often impersonate the agency.
