Optimized for a Condensed Schedule
This 3-week outline packs the punch of our 9-week course into an action-oriented format perfect for enrichment programs. Here’s how:
- Investing First
We front-load the stock game to give students maximum time for hands-on trading and to see real-world events impact their portfolios. - Focus on Gameplay
More time is dedicated to in-class activities and experiential learning through our simulations. - Learning Beyond the Classroom
We encourage extending the Stock Game past the course end-date, allowing students to continue practicing their investing strategies independently.
Packs the key concepts of 9-week course into an action-packed 3 week course!

Follow our recommended settings to get the most out of the 3-week program.
-
Recommended Budget Game Settings
- Set up a 12-month game with students working “Part-Time” for the first 6 months and “Full-Time” for the last 6 months to enable a midpoint review project.
- Disable all speed limits to ensure they don’t interfere with the daily progression of the short enrichment course.
- Ensure students can save 10% of their income each month, whether using our pre-sets or custom settings.
-
Recommended Stock Game Settings
- Start students with $10,000 in initial cash to begin their portfolio.
- Organize the class into student teams of 2 or more to encourage collaboration and allow for aggregated team portfolios.
- Plan for final group presentations by adjusting team sizes to allow each group a 5-minute slot on the final day. Check out our Stock Game Project Grading Rubric!
-
Streamlining Your Assignments
- Use pre- and post-tests to measure student learning and growth from the beginning of the class to the end.
- Simplify grading by grouping the 5 units into a single “Assignment” that students complete over 2-3 days, providing a buffer for those who need more time.
- Find more details on creating and managing assignments in our full admin guide.
