Campus Challenge Rules

Rules and Regulations

Eligibility: Participants must be actively registered GateWay students who have registered to take courses during the current semester.

Accounts: Only one competition account per student (based on student ID and e-mail address). Students must set up accounts in their own names (no pseudonyms). Any student who trades more than one account during the Challenge will not be eligible for an award.

Eligible Securities: Participants may trade US stocks and ETFs with a minimum price of $5, mutual funds, bonds, and options.

Initial Investing Amount: $500,000

Margin Trading: Participants may trade on margin. Borrowed funds will accumulate 8% interest.

Day Trading and Short Selling: Participants may day trade and short sell.

Position Limits: Participants may not invest more than 20% of their portfolio in any one security.
