Price Discrimination

Price Discrimination

Price discrimination means charging different prices to different groups for the same product, based on what each group will pay. A student discount, a senior ticket, and a higher price in one neighborhood are versions of it. The seller collects more from people who will pay more and still sells to people who will not. Student and senior discounts are legal. Prices based on race, sex, or nationality are illegal.
